About this game
Let the league watch the draft order get decided instead of posting a shuffled list. Each manager gets a turtle, and the order they cross the finish line is the draft order: first across the line picks first, last picks last. Twelve lanes are ready for a 12-team league. Remove two for a 10-team league, or add lanes up to 15 for a bigger one.
How to play
- Type each manager or team name. Twelve lanes are ready; remove lanes for a 10-team league or add up to 15.
- Press Go and the turtles race to the finish line.
- The finishing order is the draft order. Tap Share on the result screen to send your league a link that replays the same race.
FAQ
- Is the draft order random and fair?
- Yes. The whole order is decided at random the moment you press Go, and the race just shows it. Lane number and name do not change the odds.
- Can I use it for a 10-team or 12-team league?
- Yes. Twelve lanes are ready by default for a 12-team league. Remove two for 10 teams, or add lanes up to 15 teams.
- Is this really a horse race draft order generator?
- It works the same way, but the racers are turtles, not horses. Each team gets a turtle and the finishing order becomes the draft order.
- Does it work for a snake draft?
- Yes. The ranking gives you the order for round one. Read it backwards for round two in a snake draft.
- Can the whole league watch the same race?
- Yes. After the race, tap Share to send a link that replays the same race from the start, or screen-record it for the league chat.
- Can I use it for fantasy basketball, baseball or hockey drafts?
- Yes. It only needs a list of names, so any league or any draft works.
- Is it really fair?
- The result is decided at random, and fairly, the moment you press start. The animation only reveals it. Nobody can pick or predict the outcome in advance.
- Do I need to sign up or install anything?
- No. It's free, and the names and penalties you type stay on this device. Nothing is sent to a server.
- Can I show it on a big screen without ads?
- Yes. Press the "Full screen" button on the game page. Ads and the text around the board are hidden, and only the game fills the screen.
- What kind of site is Tortle?
- Tortle is a free website of luck-based mini games that works instantly, with no sign-up or install. Use the ladder game, roulette wheel, drawing lots (gacha capsules), card draw, dice, turtle race and team split to fairly decide who goes first, who does a chore, who gets a penalty or who wins a prize.
